Outdoor Activities Build Teamwork Skills
Students at St Ambrose Barlow Sixth Form enjoyed an afternoon of outdoor team building activities, as part of their enrichment programme.
An outdoor activity company came into the sixth form to run the session which included team activities and games including the Austrian hammer game! They were also shown how to build a watertight shelter and a campfire which they then toasted marshmallows on. The afternoon not only provided them with a fun afternoon of outdoor sport and games but also taught them essential life skills such as team working and how to work in a group toward a common goal.
One student said: “It was fun to do - I enjoyed building a fort and eating marshmallows at the end. I enjoyed the team building games too.” Another added: “Awesome and fun. Can we do it again?”
