Random Acts of Kindness
It was a wonderful day today for our sixth formers as they went out in to the community, spreading the real message of Christmas with random acts of kindness.
In a day dedicated to sharing kindness and Christmas love, the students took part in a Christmas service in the morning followed by going out and about to surprise people in the community. Some students bought hot drinks, food and supplies for the homeless, some went to visit older people, taking mince pies and sitting down for a good chat, while others visited charity shops to say thank you to the volunteers, or wrote cards and nice messages for their favourite local shop owners.
Students taking part realised just how small things can mean so much to people. Emily tweeted: “No better feeling than making a homeless man smile!”
