“Creativity is putting your imagination to work, and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture.”
With over 17 years’ experience in education, my desire to work with young people is born out of my love of learning and passion for creativity, culture and education.
Throughout my teaching career thus far it has been my desire to share my expertise and embed creativity and culture into the very core of all the educational establishments and partners I have worked in or with. I have worked with many schools and organisations on a local, national and international level to develop creativity and to improve learning. In 2013 our school was recognised as being one of the top 10 creative schools in the world by Professor Robert Kelly from the University of Calgary.
The Arts and Teacher Research are very important to me, most recently as a SLE and Specialist Leader in Cultural Education (SLiCE) I have undertaken a number of large and small scale research projects looking at how culture and creativity impact positively upon teaching and learning. In addition to this I facilitate many creative projects with a large number of creative & digital industries and and work with the Northern Hub for Expansive Education, Manchester University and Winchester University to develop teachers as researchers.Make an Enquiry
