Geography is the study of the earth’s landscapes, people, places and environments and how they are changing. It is all about the world in which we live. This makes it up-to-date and relevant to all of us it is one of the most exciting, adventurous and valuable subjects to study.
The knowledge and skills that studying geography can provide are exactly what employers are looking for. Be it knowing how the world works, planning research and report writing, working in a team, using new technologies and communication skills – and much more.
Geography is an education for life and for living. Learning through geography – both through formal learning and through pupils own experiences of travel and the world – helps people to be more socially and environmentally sensitive, informed and responsible citizens and employees.
