School That Matters: Love, Learn, Lead
Another school year comes to an end and the summer holidays loom. We can look back on a year of successes, achievements and experiences that are hard won. We can also look back on a year of growth for our pupils, staff and for the school. Whilst growth is to be welcomed it does not come without challenge and sometimes pain. As this year has shown our most defining moment was one of great sadness and loss when in March we learnt of the death of Lily Procter in Year 8. I

School That Matters: Celebrating our Pupils
Last week we celebrated the achievements of the pupils in Years 7-10 at our annual Awards Ceremony. We will do the same for the Year 11 leavers later in the year. Normally our ceremony takes place at The Point, Old Trafford Cricket ground, but this year we brought the event in-house and it was all-the-better for it. School That Matters: School of Sanctuary
For the last two years we have been working towards being a School of Sanctuary (SoS). Last week we received our assessment visit and this week it was confirmed that we have been awarded SoS status. The feedback from the panel is incredibly positive and real testament to the huge collaborative effort between staff and pupils to achieve this award.
